** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Chemical Technician to fill a one- year assignment in the Wilsonville, AL area.
This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
Job Title: Chemical Technician
Work Location: Wilsonville, AL
Desired Requirements:
• BS degree in chemistry or other field of science with a MINIMUM of 12 semester hours in chemistry required
• Prior experience and knowledge in a water treatment plant or Industrial experience.
• Boiler experience, power generation; or a steam plant.
• Experience and competency in the use, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation/equipment
• Knowledge of proper analytical methods and techniques
• Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with mechanical parts and repair
• Knowledge and experience in production of deionized water
• This is a blue coat job. Must wear PPL and a respirator at times and sunglasses and hard hat and vests.
• Must be able to endure hot and cold temperatures.
• Troubleshooting; projects; example like clean out a pump or pumping sewage.
• Willing to work a 7 week rotation night shift. Hours are from 6:00 p.m. -2:30 a.m. Could go longer like a 12-hour shift. Overtime is expected at this job.
• Regular hours for shift may be 6:00 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. or longer.
• Willing to learn and work inside or outside where needed.
