As a Superintendent of Framing, you’ll show an aptitude for leadership, build positive relationships, and demonstrate a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure that the design intent and project goals are met. The Superintendent of Framing will provide guidance and supervision to the project team and responsibilities will include assigning and explaining tasks to their project team/crews, and regularly inspecting work done in the field to ensure that it conforms to building specifications. He/she should also be able to help the project manager solve project-related problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Manage and oversee framing and siding projects from beginning to end on ground up construction projects;
  • Assigning and explaining tasks to the project team;
  • Review project plans, layouts and building specifications and generate quantity take offs and materials lists;
  • Ordering all construction materials needed for projects;
  • Coordinate and schedule vendors/suppliers;
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets;
  • Calculating the amount of labor, time, and materials needed for each project as part of budget creation for acquisitions team;
  • Supervise the company's field laborers, carpenters, unskilled and semi-skilled workers, and subcontractors (if necessary);
  • Responsible for scheduling and coordinating all job site inspections and testing.
  • Work with PM to maintain accurate records using cost codes for all work done by the project team

Minimum Experience/Training/Education:

  • Full Time position
  • Valid driver's license and SS#
  • Proven experience in construction.
  • Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
  • The ability to safely operate power tools.
  • Type 5 wood construction experience.
  • The ability to read blueprints.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills (bilingual in Spanish a plus)
  • Strong leadership skills.
