Foreman - Shop Fabrication

Seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Foreman.  Excellent pay and benefits. 

Responsibilities:

· Providing direct supervision to department staff and working as a hands-on supervisor.

· Ensuring that department deadlines are met and that all team members are properly trained on the fabrication systems used in the department.

· Working with Management to determine the priority of work from the production schedule and planning to ensure all work is completed on time.

· Conducting regular performance evaluations of team members.

· Holding weekly meetings to keep the team informed of safety and production guidelines and schedules.

· Working safely is a must.

· Ability to do material take off.

· Ensuring the overall quality of all materials and products that go through the fabrication department.

· Read and follow blueprints and hand sketches.

· Basic rigging skills: identify and utilize straps, shackles, rigging points, etc.

· Experience with basic hand tools and reference books.

Requirements

1.  2 or more years of Structural Steel Fabrication Shop Foreman Level experience.
