HIMALAYA specializes in building fully custom Land Rover Defenders from the ground up. Staying close to the classic aesthetic while incorporating modern components. Repowering the vehicles with new engines (Choosing from the GM LS3, LT1, LT4 and the Cummins R2.8 diesel), further customization into the drivetrain with Dynatrac axles, Brembo brakes and a custom coil-over suspension. A modern take on an iconic 4x4.

We are based in Charleston SC and are looking to add an Automotive Mechanic to the team. This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a growing company with an unwavering commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Open to all levels of experience.

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm EST - Optional Overtime Available - Not Required

Experience:

  • Drivetrain retrofit and conversion (Dynatrac Axles)
  • Chassis, brake and suspension assembly (Brembo or Willwood Brakes)
  • Steering, fuel, cooling and intake system retrofit and conversion
  • Crate motor installation (Choosing from the GM LS3, LT1, LT4 and the Cummins R2.8 diesel)

  • Problem Solver with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
