We are seeking a Packing Machine Operator for a client located in Ballston Spa. These are temp to perm positions.

The Packaging Machine Operator operates packaging and/or assembly equipment in any of the assembly operations to which he/she is assigned. Gains or has attained full proficiency in area of discipline and has 1-3 years of experience of relevant experience.

Estimated Hours: 6am-2pm, Monday-Friday. Mandatory overtime possible. Weekend overtime hours possible.

Duties:

· Sets up and operates a packaging machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
· Fills, secures, and labels containers according to company and/or customer specifications.
· Verifies goods packaged against package WO information.
· Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Documents inventory number and weight and organizes packages.
· May make minor repairs to packaging equipment as needed
· Monitors quality while packaging
· May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
· Maintains a total awareness of quality work practices
· Demonstrates safe and orderly work practices.
· Performs work in a timely manner with attention to quality
· Takes initiative and offers ways to improve the operation
· Able to develop an awareness of quality practices and procedures.
· Responsive to all production requests.
· Must be available to work overtime and weekends. Mandatory overtime may be required.

Experience and Education:

· High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), 1-3 years of relevant experience.
· Must be able to perform each assigned task at full competency, as recorded on his/her training record.
· Must be able to achieve production quotas set for the machine you are assigned to.
· Does not damage machines, tools or molds
· Ability to professionally communicate and work with others
· Meticulous attention to detail
· Able to work under pressure
· Can do – positive attitude

Education:
• High school or equivalent (Required)
