Job DescriptionJob Description

The Budget Analyst position supports tracking, spending, and reporting for grant requirements and tax documentation. The analyst will be responsible for expanding UHN, Inc. current tracking systems for federal and non-federal expenditures and prepare the UHN, Inc. for federal single year audit. The individual will aid in ensuring timely documentation and payment of approved expenditures that are allowable according to grant or funder guidelines as well as internal UHN, Inc. fiscal policies and procedures. The position will be full-time.

Roles and Responsibilities of this Position

· Review and enhance UHN, Inc. existing systems for tracking expenditures across federal and non-federal funding sources

· Conduct monthly reviews of adherence to systems, assess efficacy, and make necessary adjustments

· Assist and coordinate with the accounting firm to ensure timely reporting to the Budget and Finance Committee

· Prepare fiscal reports as required by grantors in a timely manner

· Assist staff with documentation and coding issues to ensure accurate reporting and compliance

· Prepare documentation for single year audits

· Other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, or equivalent training along with three years of relevant experience

· High levels of organization

· Budget management and familiarity with federal uniform guidance for grant funding and single-year audit procedures

· Ability to meet deadlines while multitasking in a fast-paced environment

· Proficiency in a variety of computer applications including MS Office and MS Excel

· Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal

· Acceptable Criminal Records check and Child Abuse Registry check

 

Desired Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, or equivalent training along with 5+ years of relevant experience

· Proficiency in team coordination software

 

Position is full-time based in Houma, Louisiana. Position may require light travel.
