SERVICE PORTER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cleans the service and customer areas.
  • Performs routine building maintenance in such a manner as to minimize interruption of customers or employees.
  • Cleans service areas, technicians' locker room and lunch room, halls, and shop bathroom.
  • Sweeps technician stalls, service department and halls, and vending areas.
  • Cleans all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, and vending machines.
  • Maintains hot beverage areas by cleaning counter surfaces and restocking coffee and related supplies as needed.
  • Cleans bathrooms and restocks paper supplies as needed.
  • Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing debris as necessary.
  • Removes all debris from lot.
  • Maintains yard equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Drains and disposes of used oil filters properly.
  • Removes any old scrap parts from shop after checking with parts and service manager.
  • Assists technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs.
  • Runs errands as directed by foreman as well as picks up and delivers parts when needed.
  • Understands and complies with OSHA Right-to-Know and other federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection.
  • Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Willing to submit a background check & MVR
  • Due to Insurance requirements, applicant must be 21 or older to apply.
