As an Elementary Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching general subjects including Math, Science, English, and Social Studies to students. You will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our students, encouraging curiosity, and fostering a love for learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
  • Use relevant technology to support instruction.
  • Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
  • Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments.
  • Provide appropriate feedback on work.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
  • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws and school policies.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
  • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Valid New York State Teaching Certification.
  • At least two years of teaching experience in an elementary setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and the latest educational theories and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Dedication to continuous professional development.
