Job Summary

Responsible for a managing quality documentation needs, source inspection requirements, and FAI’s, within the Quality Assurance Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares and collects a variety of documents required for pending shipments to customers including but not limited to; certificates of compliance, certificates of origin, material certifications, test certifications.
  • Responsible for compiling and reviewing final First Article Inspection documentation and submitting completed package electronically or in hard copy per customer requirements.
  • Participate in preparing source inspection materials, scheduling and facilitating source inspection activity for Prime and Government Inspectors.
  • Participates in contract and program reviews when required.
  • Manages internal Audit Program, performs Audits as Lead Auditor, performs or facilitates in-house training of Auditors, maintains schedule including working with auditors through the year to complete required audits.
  • Play and active role in designated quality representative (DQR) self-release program, assist in maintaining all required documentation, disseminating any Customer specific alerts, engages with Customers for audits of self-release program.
  • Engages with Customer Portals for shipping requirements, first article creation, Customer related approvals for Sub-tier suppliers.
  • Supports Government/Military contracts processing.
  • Coordinate and facilitate customer audits for Quality and Engineering.
  • Assists in the maintenance of ISO/AS9100 procedures.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

Basic Qualifications (including education and experience required)

  • This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma & 5 years of relevant quality experience, working in a quality department, in an ISO9001 / AS9100 quality environment.
  • Extensive experience with all aspects of FAI / AS9202 inspection reporting
  • Experience with FAI Software. Experience with Visual Fair, Discuss, and Net Inspect preferred
  • Experience and knowledge with precision machining of components, sheet metal fabrication, component special processes.
  • Proficient with ISO 9000 / AS9100 Standards
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand industry and military specifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and computer skills.
  • Internal Audit experience on ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards preferred.
