This position requires a clear understanding of a variety of products and controls common to the industry.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fire Alarm Specialist located in Orlando, FL. The purpose of the Fire Alarm Service & Security Technician position is to install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems, and other fire and life safety products with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Education, Training, Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • NICET, FASA BASA Certification expired or valid.
  • Prior certifications or trainings on fire or alarm products a plus

Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:

  • 2- 5 years Fire Life Safety Industry experience, specifically in Fire Alarm, required
  • NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification, FASA BASA
  • 2 years of professional computer skills, preferred
  • Able to read Blueprints, update shop drawings, read technical diagrams and follow instructions
  • Experience with installation of conduit & cable
  • Familiar with NFPA and local AHJ requirements
  • OSHA Certification, and Training on Lifts a plus

Miscellaneous:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must pas background check and screening
  • Able to work independently
  • Reliable and punctual with positive attitude
  • Able to resolve field issue presented
  • Good communication skills
  • English and Spanish speaking a plus
  • Able to travel and or work at night a plus
