Duties: As an Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will facilitate and optimize the Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure effective coordination, communication, and delivery of value across multiple teams within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful execution of one or more ARTs consisting of multiple Scrum teams, driving the delivery of strategic technology products, leading Agile transformation, and promoting Agile maturity.
  • Serve as the organizational leader and facilitator for key program events, including Program Increment (PI) Planning readiness, PI Planning events, and related activities.
  • Mentor and coach Scrum Masters, fostering Agile practices and collaboration.
  • Ensure alignment with customer and stakeholder value streams by guiding the design and technology constraints within the system.
  • Manage and optimize the flow of value within the ART by utilizing a variety of tools and methods to ensure alignment between strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business strategy into technology strategy, ensuring necessary capabilities are developed and enabled.
  • Provide technical guidance and act as an advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research and applications.
  • Address complex technical challenges with innovative solutions, track key ART metrics, escalate issues, and drive continuous improvement activities.
  • Resolve and report issues, while managing dependencies and risks within and between ARTs.
  • Perform functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships.

 

Additional Information: You will work on projects that support engineering excellence, production services, and operations. Depending on the scope of the projects, you may work with 2-8 project teams. The role offers the potential for both extension and conversion. While the preferred candidates are those who can work hybrid schedules in St. Louis, MO, or Tempe, AZ, remote candidates who can work CST hours will also be considered.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven Agile leadership experience with strong facilitation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, with SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification strongly preferred. SAFe certification at some level is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Expertise in Agile tools and processes, particularly Jira and Aha
  • Strong technical acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility in working with teams of varying Agile maturity.
