Floyd & Associates, Inc. is one of Georgia’s premier commercial and residential land surveying companies located in Buford, GA. Established in 1999, Floyd & Associates, Inc. provides service throughout Georgia with multiple crews performing Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Elevation Certificates, As-builts and Construction Layout.

Floyd & Associates, Inc. has an opening for an experienced Crew Chief.

Salary is based on capabilities, education, experience, etc.

We are seeking persons with a career minded mentality to operate as an experienced Crew Chief for all projects, including but not limited to Boundary, Topographic, ALTA, As-built Surveys and Construction Layout with the ability to adapt and problem solve using numerous types of surveying instruments daily.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday 6:30am – 5:00pm (average).

Requirements:

· Have a valid Driver License with a good driving record.

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· MUST have a minimum of 1 year experience as a "Land Surveying Crew Chief".

· Company vehicle provided after grace period.

· Arrive on time daily. Attendance and Punctuation important.

· Have good communication skills.

· Be able to work well with others in a team environment to complete daily job task.

· Ability to efficiently provide clear and complete, legible and detailed sketch and/or field notes.

Responsibilities:

• Must be proficient with field surveying procedures to complete an accurate survey.
• Ability to efficiently provide clear and complete, legible and detailed field notes.
• Experience with ALL types of surveying projects (Boundary, Topographic, ALTA and As-built Surveys, Construction Layout, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Land Surveying Principles and Techniques with computer skills.
• Handle daily field work, relay with office techs/staff.
• Move over rough terrain, uneven, slippery, creek surfaces daily.
• Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
• Carry up to 50lbs of survey equipment and supplies safely in all environments, rather it be wooded, rural, urban or commercial job sites in all weather conditions.
• Follow safety protocols set up by Floyd & Associates, Inc. and O.S.H.A.
• Be aware of surroundings in all work environments to act in a safe manner at all times.
