RPh on the Go, a leader in pharmacy staffing and placement services, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated IV Hospital Pharmacist for a contracted assignment in Fayetteville, Tennessee. This is an outstanding opportunity for a professional looking to advance their career in a dynamic and supportive hospital setting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
  • Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
  • Control medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions when necessary.
  • Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
  • Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests from health care professionals and counseling patients on drug therapies.
  • Develop hospital staff's pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs and training pharmacy staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and health care professionals.
  • Comply with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration by monitoring nursing unit inspections.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.

Shift:

  • Monday - Friday: 7:00am-4:00pm
  • Saturday - Sunday: 8:00am-12:00pm
  • Rotating weekends: Every 2nd or 3rd
  • On-call

Required Qualifications:

  • TN license clear and active
  • 1+ year or more of recent inpatient experience
  • IV skills preferred not required
  • Willing to work 13+ week contract
