Position: Ballet Instructor

Location: Infinity Dance Company (Ocean Springs, MS)

 

About Us:

Infinity Dance Company is a premier dance studio located in Ocean Springs, MS. We are dedicated to fostering a passion for dance in students of all ages. Our welcoming community creates the perfect environment for dancers to thrive. We are currently seeking a talented, passionate and experienced Ballet Instructor to join our team and inspire our students from beginner to advanced levels, including pre-pointe through advanced pointe classes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach ballet classes for a range of ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced.

  • Prepare students for performances, examinations, and competitions.

  • Choreograph dances and sequences for class and performance purposes.

  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth.

  • Implement injury prevention practices and promote healthy dance habits.

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.

  • Provide a fun and creative environment.

  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall learning experience.

  • Stay informed on the latest trends and techniques in ballet instruction.

 

Requirements:

  • Dependable, passionate, and creative.

  • Proven experience as a Ballet Instructor with the ability to teach from beginner to advanced levels, including pre-pointe and pointe.

  • Strong classical ballet technique and a comprehensive understanding of ballet terminology.

  • Ability to develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans.

  • Ability to choreograph and teach complex ballet sequences and dances.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and staff.

  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • A degree in dance, performing arts, or relevant certification is preferred.

  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
