POSITION

Initially, you would learn how the press and ancillary equipment of the press function, along with the basic process of aluminum extrusion. The best way to do this is through a hands-on approach for a period, and experience many of the issues faced in extrusion. You can see the processes we use to look for opportunities to improve production and quality. You would work with and supervise one of our extrusion presses and its crew to increase production through increased uptime and better manufacturing practices while improving our high-quality standard.                                                               *This learning period would allow opportunities to continue in the production department or branch off into other departments within the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Ability to Lead

·         Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or in a related engineering discipline

·         Must be able and willing to work in a industrial manufacturing plant environment, including periods of time in non-air conditioned or unheated areas

·         Must be willing to work and live in a rural community

·         Must be able and willing to work safely, including wearing and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

·         Knowledge of computer systems and the ability to learn new complex applications

·         Effective oral and written communications skills that support collaborative teamwork, and the ability to influence others

·         Analytical and field troubleshooting skills or the willingness to develop these skill sets

·         Must enjoy creating value, be results focused, and have strong decision-making and organizational skills

·         Be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks

·         Desire to continue education in manufacturing applications, practices and management is a plus

·         Ability to manage in a proactive manufacturing environment

·         Evaluate existing manufacturing systems and execute actions to drive safety, productivity, quality, and cost improvements

·         Participate in capital & manufacturing project teams
