Woodard Builders Supply is a leading distributor of architectural doors, frames & hardware that was founded in 1936. We are currently seeking a self-motivated individual for a position in estimating & project management. The position is centered on small ground-up construction projects, remodels & interior finish-outs. Essential functions of this position include: reviewing architectural drawings/specifications, generating pricing take-offs for materials to be quoted to customers, preparing quotations, writing door & hardware schedules, creating purchase orders for materials, communicating with general contractors regarding project details & delivery dates, assisting with customers at our sales counter when short-handed & making site visits when necessary.

Qualifications

• 1-year industry-related experience; preferred
• Willingness to learn
• Proficient in mathematics
• Experience with Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication, analytical skills, detail-oriented
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent customer service
• Ability to work well with others

Company DescriptionV.E. Woodard or “Woody” as he was more commonly known, was born in Cresson, Texas which was a small farming and ranching community where his father owned the general store. Eventually, Woody moved to Fort Worth, Texas, and started out working with Veil Crawford Hardware Supply. Having a knack for the business, he took out a $500.00 loan and established Woodard Builders Supply in 1936. The original store was located in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, Texas, and was a one-man operation that provided everything from weather vanes to the commercial hardware of those times. Woody’s first big break came in the opportunity to provide hardware for the Will Rogers Memorial Center where much of the hardware is still in use today
