Job Description: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements, recording journal entries, performing monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts, and preparing monthly bank reconciliations. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of monthly financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  2. Record monthly journal entries accurately and timely to reflect financial transactions in the general ledger.
  3. Perform monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  4. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, comparing bank statements with general ledger balances to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  5. Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management review and decision-making.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support various business initiatives.
  7. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  8. Providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
  9. Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Highly skilled at reconciling general ledger accounts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
