Maintenance Trainee

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are hiring a Maintenance Trainee for a direct hire position with our client in Roselle, Illinois

Shift Hours: 6am-4:30pm - Monday-Thursday
Pay: Starting at $19.00/hour

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIn this position you will train with a Set-up Person on Coiling machines and learn how to set-up/prepare and maintain coiling machines to run different size and type of conduit.The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Must have mechanical skills to understand the basic functions of running machines in the Coiling departments.
• Works directly with the Set-up person and is under their direction.
• Must be receptive to frequent supervision and instruction about machine setup.
• Perform maintenance on the coiling machines to run production.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: repetitive hand movements, standing for long periods of time, move/push/pull material 10 – 50lbs.
• Able to complete required production paperwork.
• Able to operate the time and attendance system.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

• Must be able to understand English, both written and spoken.
• Must have mechanical skills.
• Can bring their own toolbox with basic hand tools.
• Must be able to read, use simple math, and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
