Salary: $20-25 per hour, depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time, On-call availability required

Introduction: We are seeking a proactive and skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. Based in Mesa, AZ, this role involves traveling to various job sites across the Phoenix area to provide maintenance and troubleshooting support for restaurant and fast food chain equipment, including ice machines, refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to multiple job sites throughout the Phoenix area to perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on restaurant equipment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of equipment malfunctions, including but not limited to ice machines, refrigerators, ovens, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with restaurant managers and staff to understand equipment issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including service reports and inventory of parts.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on job sites.
  • Available for on-call rotations to respond to emergency maintenance requests outside of regular business hours.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an equipment maintenance technician, preferably in a commercial or restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration principles, and kitchen equipment operations.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining service records and inventory.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with restaurant staff and management.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet service deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work on-call rotations and occasional weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or formal training in HVAC, refrigeration, or equipment maintenance.
  • Previous experience working with ice machines, refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to equipment maintenance.
