Job Summary: In this position, you will play a crucial role in helping our company maximize its sales performance and profitability by providing data-driven insights and analysis from our e-commerce platforms. This position involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sales and marketing data to help us make informed business decisions and develop effective sales strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, data visualization tools).

  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

  • Knowledge of sales methodologies and understanding of the sales process is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Being able to extract and analyze website traffic data using tools such as G4, or similar platforms to gain insights into user behavior and conversion rates is a plus.

  • E-commerce Knowledge: A solid understanding of e-commerce principles, including online merchandising, payment gateways, shopping cart functionality, and user experience optimization, is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with BigCommerce is a plus: The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the BigCommerce platform, including its features, functionality, and integration capabilities. Experience with managing or optimizing BigCommerce-based online stores is another plus.

  • Website Content Management: Experience in managing website content, including product listings, images, descriptions, and pricing, is beneficial. The ability to make updates to the website's content and structure.

  • A/B Testing and Conversion Rate Optimization: Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques to improve website performance and user experience is a big plus.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance.

  • Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Our E-Commerce Data Specialist has a critical role that bridges the gap between sales activities and data-driven decision-making within our company. This individual contributes significantly to the achievement of sales and profit targets, the optimization of sales processes, and the overall success of the company as a whole.

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Data Collection and Analysis:

    • Gather and organize sales data from various sources, including Amazon, company website, ShipStation, and market research.

    • Conduct in-depth analysis of sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.

  2. Sales Forecasting:

    • Develop and maintain sales forecasts to assist with inventory management, resource allocation, and goal setting.

  3. Performance Metrics:

    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for management team.

    • Create dashboards and reports to communicate sales performance to management.

  4. Competitive Analysis:

    • Monitor and analyze competitors' sales activities, market share, and pricing strategies.

    • Provide insights to support competitive positioning and pricing decisions.

  5. Sales Strategy Support:

    • Collaborate with management to develop and refine sales strategies and tactics.

    • Offer data-driven recommendations for improving sales processes and efficiency.

  6. Customer Analysis:

    • Analyze customer behavior, preferences, and buying patterns to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.

  7. Market Research:

    • Provide insights on market trends and changes in customer preferences.

  8. Reporting and Presentations:

    • Prepare and deliver regular reports, presentations, and data visualizations to communicate findings to management.

  9. Data Integrity and Quality:

    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by regularly auditing and cleaning sales databases.
