Richmont Graduate University is looking for a dynamic Admissions Counselor to join our Atlanta, GA or Chattanooga, TN campuses. This admissions counselor will recruit prospective students by developing networks, evaluating recruiting techniques and materials, interviewing prospective students, and initiating campaigns to induce students to attend the university.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Admissions Counselors are full time positions that are based out of either the Atlanta or Chattanooga Richmont campus.
  • It requires heavy seasonal traveling responsibilities (mostly southeast) in fall and spring seasons.
  • Works well independently and with others. 
  • Generates leads and cultivate relationships with prospective students.
  • Learns and presents the unique qualities of Richmont’s programs to prospective students in a variety of settings such as fairs, class visits, conferences, and church visits.
  • Researches and plans recruiting trips; including travel arrangements, hotel booking, etc.
  • Develops and maintains contact with prospective students, college professors, local pastors, and others; answering questions, creating awareness, and building relationships.
  • Manage student relationships as they matriculate from a prospect to an enrollee by aiding in the application process, answering questions, and ensuring their file is complete.
  • Works with the Admissions team to develop strategies for increasing enrollment.
  • Assist and participate in other university functions as needed (all Preview Days and commencement participation are required).
  • Coordinate and host prospective graduate student visitations.
  • Follow processes of entering and tracking data in student information system.
  • Establish communication protocols for prospective students for the University
  • Enters data in CAMS SIS to keep track of paperwork, communication, and specific data regarding prospects and applicants, along with Salesforce.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • BA or BS, but Master’s preferred.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in admissions or higher education. Will consider customer service, sales, or ministry experience as well.
