When MI-BOX patented the LeveLift system it changed the way portable storage containers were delivered. The LeveLift system is only available at MI-BOX and is designed to securely and safely transport mobile storage units. MI-BOX did not invent portable on demand storage, it just made it better.

Local Route Driver - NO TOUCH FREIGHT

Class A/B truck/van with delivery experience

Storage Container Assembly work/servicing may be required

MI-BOX of San Diego is the largest and fastest growing MI-BOX in the nation We are also the fastest growing locally owned and operated Mobile Moving & Storage company in San Diego County MI-BOX delivers self-storage containers to customers at their location for moving, onsite use, or storage within our facility in San Diego County and outlying areas.

You will drive a specially designed newer well kept bright yellow Kenworth 33’ automated straight truck for MI-BOX with a patented LeveLift system that has changed the way portable storage containers are delivered and picked up. If you grew up playing with an Erector Set or Lego's, this truck is all of that combined into one package that you get to drive around San Diego County

Our customer's and people passing by stop to watch in amazement the truck in action place or pick up a container in less than 2 minutes We are looking for an individual who is professional, safety driven, energetic, a team player, that likes a day-to-day challenge that is anything but routine.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A/B License with straight truck experience (2+ years preferred)

  • Satisfactory motor vehicle record & a (current within 60 days) submitted DMV H6

  • Be able to perform a DOT pre-trip inspection including air brake check

  • Pass a physical driving abilities road test

  • Have a current DOT physical or able to pass a DOT Physical

  • Ability to lift/move 50 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Computer/Tablet/Smart Phone operation

  • Excellent customer service skills & professionalism

  • Alert, Focused, Punctual, and Detail oriented

  • Flexible in an ever-changing daily routine

  • Flexible work schedule which will include daily overtime and may include rotating weekend work during our busy season

  • Legible writing to include filling out simple paperwork

  • Be able to speak clearly, understand, & comprehend English

  • Reliable Transportation to & from Poway

  • Proficient in using smart phone GPS phone-oriented mapping & simple programming for orders

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Forklift Operation

  • Simple mechanical know-how

  • Zero clearance maneuvering of truck

  • Any driving awards received

Duties:

  • Drive the truck making deliveries/pick-ups at customers

  • Fill out all daily paperwork

  • Complete a log book if reaching 12 + hours

  • Use phone for interactive work-related details/call and interact with customers

  • Assist in the warehouse - you will be assigned an area to keep clean and maintain regularly

  • Assisted assembly of new containers – you assist storage yard lead as needed

  • Cleaning & Servicing of containers – assist the storage yard lead as needed

Our driver's enjoy a balanced home / work schedule, team culture, fast paced, energetic, & friendly workplace with competitive wages.

Hours may range from 30 to 60 hours per week with overtime weekly including rotating weekend work during the busy season. You are paid on a base 40hr work week at minimum.
