We are looking for motivated Retail Store Associates to join our team As a Retail Store Associate, you will be responsible for welcoming customers and offering them assistance. Your duties as a Retail Store Associate will also include but not limited to operating cash registers, stocking shelves and preparing merchandise for display.


Responsibilities for Store Associate

  • Customer service: Greet customers, answer questions, assist with requests, and resolve complaints
  • Product knowledge: Recommend products, provide purchasing options, and maintain knowledge of products, pricing, and promotions
  • Store operations: Keep the sales floor stocked and organized, unpack product orders, and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning before and after business hours
  • Payments: Process payments and execute purchases and returns aligning with the company's stated policy and procedures
  • Store policies: Learn about store policies and procedures, and adhere to company policies for customer service
  • Teamwork: Be an active part of the retail team and contribute to a positive work environment


Qualifications for Store Associate

  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to spend an extended period working in a standing position
  • Ability to multitask and balance the needs of several customers at once is mandatory
  • A detailed understanding of products or services sold and the ability to correctly answer customer questions is needed
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Punctuality and accountability when arriving to work and closing out cash registers nightly
  • Attention to detail is essential for building and stocking displays to company standards
  • Basic math skills are needed to accurately close out transactions and provide change to customers


Requirements and Skills

  • GED or High School Diploma required
  • Proven work experience as a Retail Store Associate, Sales Representative or similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using computer software and POS systems
  • General math skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Availability to work flexible shifts
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time


Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This job operates in a retail environment. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The employee must frequently lift, move and/or load items more than 30 pounds
