MLee Healthcare is seeking an experienced and skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team. Job Overview:

We are on the lookout for a Chief Financial Officer who will bring strategic vision and robust financial expertise to our executive leadership team. As CFO, you will be instrumental in steering our financial strategies and operations, ensuring our hospital not only meets its economic objectives but also continues to thrive and expand its services. This pivotal role requires a balance of analytical prowess and innovative thinking to navigate the unique financial landscape of a critical access hospital and propel our institution forward.

Key Responsibilities for the Chief Financial Officer:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize financial performance and ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Manage the hospital's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to support informed decision-making by senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee revenue cycle management processes, including billing, collections, and reimbursement, to maximize revenue streams and minimize revenue leakage.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, capital investments, and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, financial reporting standards, and internal controls to mitigate financial risks and maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders, physicians, and external stakeholders to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and innovation across the organization.

Qualifications for the CFO Position:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field required.
  • MBA in accounting, finance, or healthcare / business administration and / or CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in a critical access healthcare capacity.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare finance regulations, reimbursement systems, and industry trends, particularly those relevant to New York State.
  • Proven track record of leadership and strategic financial planning, with the ability to drive results and manage change in a complex organizational environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
