The Inside Sales Representative at Eagle Engineering plays a pivotal role in driving sales growth and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position involves actively engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and recommending appropriate solutions. The insides sales rep supports our outside sales engineers providing quotes and handling ordering processing for the customer and the vendor.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Customer Relationship Management:
  • Engage with existing and potential customers to understand their industrial automation requirements and provide suitable product recommendations.
  • Respond to clients requests via phone, email, or online platforms to promote products, discuss solutions, and address inquiries.
  • Develop an understanding of our industrial product lines, including components, systems, and applications.
  • Work with our Engineering team to cross customers existing products.
  • Quoting, Pricing, and Proposal Development:
  • Prepare and present quotes to customers, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing, availability, and lead time information for products.
  • Order Processing and Vendor Coordination:
  • Manage the end-to-end order processing cycle, including order entry, tracking, and fulfillment.
  • Communicate with vendors to place orders, verify product availability, and expedite shipments as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy of order details, including quantities, specifications, and delivery instructions in ERP system..
  • Shipping And Receiving:
  • Receive inventory items and place the item on the shelf. (generally one or two items per day)
  • Ship packages out of inventory for customers orders. (generally one or two items per day)

 

Qualifications:

  • + 1 years of experience in industrial inside sales within the industrial sector is highly preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with industrial products, systems, and applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in ERP software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales and order processing tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing exceptional service and support.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Working Conditions:

  • The Inside Sales Representative typically works in an office environment, with occasional visits to client sites or vendor facilities as needed.
  • This role may involve occasional travel for meetings, training sessions, or industry events.
