Drivers must meet Landstar qualifications listed below

This position is for a Class A CDL driver that is a motivated individual who is dedicated to meeting on time deliveries, and doesn’t have a problem reading emails thoroughly to follow directions that every agent provides.

85% of our operation runs in the midwestern region and down; with no Florida. We run as far west as Fargo, Sioux Falls, Omaha, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and down the 35 as far as Laredo. When it comes to the east coast we don’t like to send our drivers near I-95 and we rarely touch east of I-81.

Depending on where you live we can get home sometimes through the week during your time out and home most weekends. Drivers that live further from the Midwest may have to stay out longer and get home less frequently. Home time will need to be discussed further.

Trucks we are adding:

‘16 Cascadia white with a 10 speed transmission. 550k miles. This truck will be $450 per week for 104 payments.

‘15 Cascadia white with a 10 speed transmission. 590k miles. This truck will be 400 per week for 104 payments. (FILLED)

‘13 Cascadia maroon with a 10 speed transmission. 690k miles. This truck will be $350 per week for 104 payments.

I am open to discuss self dispatch, but if you haven’t been with Landstar before and/or are capable of providing a good enough rate per mile and revenue per week then I will dispatch while teaching you for the first 52 payments. Then at that point you will have the opportunity to begin self dispatch.

Settlement pay as follows:

65% of net to the truck after all Landstar expenses.

12 cents per mile will be held in a maintenance fund.

With our dispatching in the current market conditions drivers will easily average 90 cents per mile after all expenses, but before their truck payment and maintenance fund.

Our goal is to help you become the most successful owner operator that you can be. If you are open to listening, and understand that we're not here to be a know it all or have a power trip because we would be your boss then you will be an excellent fit.

Landstar Qualifications:

  • 23+ years old.
  • Class A CDL
  • Hazmat endorsement or the ability to obtain.
  • One year of OTR driving experience in the last three years or three years OTR in the past ten years.
  • Verifiable driving history.
  • No DOT-recordable/preventable accident in past 12 months.
  • No more than one serious violation in past 36 months.
  • No DUI in past 60 months.
  • Overall safe driving record.
  • No felony convictions within the past 7 years. All other felony and misdemeanor charges are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  • No positive drug or alcohol tests.
