Millwork Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Millwork Estimator to join our team. As a Millwork Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing the costs associated with various millwork projects, including doors, windows, cabinets, and custom woodwork. Your role will involve reviewing project specifications, quantifying materials, estimating labor requirements, analyzing costs, and preparing detailed estimates and proposals for clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to understand scope and requirements.
• Quantify materials needed for millwork projects, including lumber, hardware, and finishes.
• Estimate labor hours required for fabrication, assembly, finishing, and installation.
• Analyze costs for materials, labor, equipment, overhead, and profit margins.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for clients and contractors.
• Communicate with architects, designers, clients, and subcontractors to clarify project details and negotiate pricing.
• Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence.

Requirements: (We are willing to train if requirements are not met)

• Previous experience as a Millwork Estimator or similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., Innergy (Estimating Software), Teams, Excel…).
• Relevant certifications or qualifications preferred.
