LPN or RN

The Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Director. The RN or LVN provides care, administers meds, and updates vitals and charts for residential inpatient clients (18+), within the scope of practices – as delegated by the Medical Director.

We are seeking an RN For Detox and Residential Care Substance Abuse Facility to join our team 

You will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of assigned patients.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to clients in private detox and/or residential rehab setting
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Train and oversee LVN, Medical Assistants and Counselors as to care and communication for patient care
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
• Administers medications and treatments per facility policy
• Pursues proper chain of command to attain a satisfactory solution
• Initiates changes to improve patient care; discusses changes with doctor when appropriate
• Utilizes educational opportunities within the program and other avenues to maintain clinical expertise to promote personal growth and development
• Responsible for knowledge of legal aspects of nursing
• Attends safety classes annually and maintains a current CPR (BLS) card

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields a plus but not required
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment (Kipu a plus)
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong leadership experience and skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
