Auto Technician

Job Description:

AAMCO Transmissions of Kalamazoo is seeking an experienced Auto Technician to join our team. As an Auto Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, with a primary focus on transmission systems. We are looking for individuals with a passion for automotive mechanics and a dedication to providing top-notch service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs
• Repair and replace transmission systems, including clutches, gears, and torque converters
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and repair vehicle problems
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and recommended repairs
• Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified auto technician, with a focus on transmission systems preferred
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• ASE certification preferred
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
