Collections Specialist Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Collection Agent to join our team. As a Collection Agent, you will be responsible for contacting individuals and businesses to collect outstanding debts. Your excellent phone etiquette and negotiation skills will be crucial in successfully resolving overdue accounts.

Collections Specialist Responsibilities:
- Contact individuals and businesses to collect outstanding debts
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities
- Negotiate payment arrangements with debtors
- Follow up on payment promises and ensure timely payments
- Handle inbound and outbound calls related to collections
- Provide excellent customer service while resolving account issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, revenue cycle management, and account reconciliation in the collection process

Collections Specialist Experience:
- Previous experience in collections or a related field is a must
- Familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate payment options with debtors
- Knowledge of telemarketing techniques to engage with debtors effectively
- Excellent customer service skills to handle inquiries and resolve issues professionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
