Vitalic Health is an innovative startup dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of seniors in New York. We're seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as Mental Health Support Coaches in either part-time or full-time capacities.

 

Position Overview:

We are looking for Mental Health Support Coaches to assist our licensed mental health professionals in implementing treatment plans for our senior clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in seniors' lives while gaining valuable experience in the mental health field. Both part-time and full-time positions are available to suit various schedules and commitments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in implementing mental health treatment plans under the guidance of licensed professionals

- Provide emotional support and encouragement to senior clients

- Help clients develop and practice coping skills and healthy habits

- Facilitate group activities that promote mental well-being

- Assist clients in accessing community resources and services

- Maintain regular communication with the clinical team about client progress

- Document interactions and observations accurately and promptly

- Participate in team meetings and training sessions

 

Qualifications:

- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred but not mandatory

- Strong interest in mental health and senior care

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Empathetic and patient demeanor

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- Comfortable with both in-person and virtual service delivery

- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies

- Ability to pass a background check

 

Preferred (but not required):

- Experience working with seniors or in mental health settings

- Knowledge of basic mental health concepts and practices

- Familiarity with common issues affecting older adults
