Johnson Service Group, Inc., is actively seeking a Jr. Electrical Superintendent to work with our client in the McDonough, GA area.  This is slotted as a contract-to-hire opportunity and our client is hiring immediately.
 

• Responsible for providing high quality electrical field work for tasks including troubleshooting, service and repair of automated electrical systems, and providing automation and control support as needed for customers
• Experienced with industrial electrical repairs including troubleshooting and repair of electrical valves and switches, A/C - D/C drives and motors, PLC's and 480 Volt 3 phase electrical
• Extensive experience in maintenance of electrical control and distribution systems and analog and digital circuits
• Experience or formal education and lab training on PLCs, or the ability to navigate block logic, ladder logic, or other digital logic interfaces
• Read and follow electrical schematics in written and diagram form
• Layout, drill, tap and assemble electrical sub-panels and enclosures
• Seeking applicants with a working knowledge of VFD's
• Working knowledge of PLC's
• Troubleshooting controls
• Assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes, and install components and problem-solving
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Complete point-to-point wiring, and install a wide variety of electrical components including PLC's, relays, lights, switches...etc.

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology is preferred, but appropriate working experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) (Preferred)
• OHSA 30 Certification (preferred)  

• Although a minimum 7-10 years’ working experience in controls/automation/electrical construction is preferred, candidates with less experience who have a proven track record of the required skills coupled with the right attitude and technical aptitude will be considered.
• Experience designing control panels as a control’s engineer/systems integrator is preferred.
• PLC programming using Siemens, Emerson, ABB, Allen Bradley RSLogix in addition to any other PLC software
• Experience with HMI graphics. SCADA design is a plus.
• Experience programming VFD’s and soft starts.
• Experience with industrial networking and interfacing with a multitude of automation products.
• Experience with creating and reviewing submittal documentation.
• Experience with reading bid job specifications and designing control panels per specs.
• Experience with UL 508A and 698A requirements.
