Job DescriptionJob Description

Top Notch Heating & Air is seeking a skilled, honest, and hardworking HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in servicing, troubleshooting, and providing preventative maintenance on both commercial and residential heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration systems. This is a full-time position with paid overtime. The candidate that is hired for this position will receive a company vehicle and smartphone upon hire. Top Notch Heating & Air is based out of Athens, Texas.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform service, maintenance, and repairs on refrigeration and HVAC equipment
  • Install and startup of new equipment; installation of 5 - 25 ton residential and commercial package units, split systems, walk-in coolers, ice machines, and smaller HVAC and refrigeration equipment
  • Troubleshoot system failures and recommend necessary repairs and/or equipment replacements
  • Adhere to all service standards and safety procedures
  • Ability to use smart phone and/or computer tablet
  • Communicate proactively and respectfully with customers and staff
  • Participate in periodic training courses, paid for and scheduled by employer
  • Ability to work independently and/or with a team while managing time efficiently
  • Share a rotating on-call schedule of weekends to handle emergency service calls
  • Willing and able to provide necessary training to apprentices
  • Provide and maintain certain tools and equipment to perform job duties
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the industry, preferably in both commercial and residential sectors
  • Minimum of 2 years working on HVAC equipment
  • Minimum of 2 years working on commercial refrigeration equipment
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Universal EPA Certification
  • Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs when necessary
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check
