Toyota Supplier is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of our production machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Conduct repairs on various types of production equipment including conveyors, motors, and hydraulic systems.
  • Install new machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules and document all maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to perform job duties.
  • Assist in the procurement of necessary parts and supplies for maintenance activities.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff when required.
  • Stay updated with the latest maintenance techniques and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Industrial Maintenance or related field.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
