Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Welder to join a leading industrial equipment manufacturer in Belvidere, IL. We are open to new graduates or individuals with maintenance experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:

• Performs machining and welding
• Tests equipment electrically and verifies it will function correctly
• Strips machines for electrical
• Services, repairs and maintains shop tools
• Reconditions process, plastics and centrifugal equipment
• Makes crates and skids when needed
• Operating industrial lift truck or overhead cranes
• Perform general shop maintenance duties
• Pain equipment as needed.
• Keeps equipment and work areas clean and orderly.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of welding experience (MIG/TIG)
• High School Graduate or Associate's Degree
• Ability to read blueprints & schematics
• Mechanical Skillet - Ability to use tools, lathes, drill presses, gas torches, etc. with proper safety techniques.
• Electrical skills- knowledge or experience working with up to 480 volts
• Knowledge of electrical motor controls - ability to troubleshoot or program is a plus
• CNC machining experience - PLUS
