Our trusted client seeks an Systems Administrator to join their team in Atlanta

  • Title: Systems Administrator - (Hybrid; 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
  • Duration: Direct Hire / Contrat to Hire
  • Location: Atlanta GA 30303 – (Hybrid; 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

OVERVIEW: Systems Administrator responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems related operational needs. The position is a critical role within the organization. This position requires a highly motivated problem solver with above average customer service skills. The right candidate will work diligently to maintain the infrastructure as well as provide ongoing support to customers. This position requires knowledge of each skillset as well as great customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build, Manage, Support, and Maintain Linux based systems
  • Perform Linux server administration tasks
  • Help troubleshoot problems with Linux servers, running various versions of Linux, including: Debian, Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS and SuSE
  • Manage system backups, restore, and recovery
  • Manage user accounts, groups, and services
  • Manage and maintain Nutanix storage.
  • Work with users to resolve account/system issues
  • Engage in continuous testing of new Linux versions on-demand basis
  • Setup, Support & Maintain VMware systems
  • Perform change control
  • Help automate server maintenance, including running scripts and automated processes
  • Maintain server uptime and network performance
  • Assist with server documentation
  • Ensure all administrative procedures are followed
  • Document all server incidents and outages
  • Provide excellent & timely Phone Support for end users

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Skilled Communicator verbal and written
  • 4-year degree in IT or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of Linux System Administration experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with JIRA, and Ansible
  • Experience with Linux-based VPN clients, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, filesystems, and authentication.
  • IP/TV background would be nice but not required
