Commercial Flat Roof Estimator

Job DescriptionJob Description

- Must be able to do plan takeoffs and generate project estimates for flat commercial roofing.

- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Flat Roof Division, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.

- Prepare accurate and timely project estimates for construction projects.

- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required.

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.

- Analyze project costs and develop cost control strategies to ensure projects stay within budget.

- Utilize construction estimating software such as Sage 100 Contractor and Bluebeam to create detailed cost estimates.

- Research and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.

- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value for the project.

- Create comprehensive bid proposals that clearly outline the scope of work, pricing, and terms of the contract.

-Provide leadership and guidance to a team of employees, fostering a positive work environment.

 

Experience

- Minimum of 5 years experience in flat commercial roofing preferred.

- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.

- Proficient in using construction estimating software such as Sage 100 Contractor and Bluebeam.

- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents.

- Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to accurately calculate quantities, costs, and measurements.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
