Foster Care Social Worker

Your Impact in This Role

  • Manage a caseload of foster children and families, typically 16 kids in 10-12 homes
  • Assess and engage with families, providing mental health services and parenting coaching
  • Conduct home visits, attend court hearings, and participate in team meetings
  • Develop and facilitate service plans for children, foster families, and biological families
  • Provide crisis support and participate in on-call coverage
  • Facilitate support groups for foster parents and coach biological families on parenting skills
  • Collaborate with schools, contractual agents, and other partners to meet client needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and meet utilization requirements

What You Bring to The Table

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) or related field
  • LSW or LPC licensure in good standing
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to maintain required auto insurance coverage
  • Passion for working with children and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet client needs
  • Experience with case management and documentation in social services (preferred)
