The Executive Director (ED)  will have a significant impact on all aspects of leadership in Bel Inizio.  The ED will report to the Bel Inizio Board of Directors and work collaboratively with our partner agencies. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading and managing the Program Director and Program Manager, providing oversight of program design and implementation while focusing attention on developing strategies to supplement/support and scale existing fundraising events and activities.  The focus of this job is on achieving results which are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and Bel Inizio’s strategic goals.  The right person for this position will have a leadership style that is firm and goal oriented, and yet motivates and engages others in an enthusiastic way.  The job requires someone who can act independently and handle a variety of challenges.  This person must be willing to fully commit to Bel Inizio’s mission and vision and high standards of achievement with an emphasis on results, and effective systems that achieve results through and with our board of directors, staff, and volunteers, rather than on the details of the implementation.   

The Executive Director will be responsible for recruiting, leading, and managing staff members to maintain and uphold Bel Inizio’s mission, policies, and procedures. The ED will be responsible for creating, managing, and continually improving Bel Inizio’s culture for the staff and the organization.

Responsibilities further include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure programmatic excellence and a sense of urgency for goal achievement that will produce success for Bel Inizio clients
  • Manage and oversee financials, administration, and facilities in a transparent and professional manner
  • Lead fundraising and communications initiatives and implement strategies to grow both our financial goals and standing in the community.  Empower the staff and board to grow donations
  • Actively engage, nurture relationships, and energize volunteers, board members, and donors
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing and growing coordination and cooperation with partner agencies
  • Develop, maintain, and support a strong Board of Directors, and seek and build Board involvement with strategic direction. 
  • The ED position requires attendance/work on 5 to 7 Saturday mornings each year; determined by the program and event calendars set by the ED and the board of directors.

We work with women in the transitional or long-term housing facilities in which they live. Our programs last 8 weeks and culminate in a capstone event of our clients walking or running their first 5K.
