Job DescriptionJob Description

The CAD drafter will be responsible for working to developing manufacturing processes and develop drawings and specifications for the manufacture of overhead cranes. They will be responsible for assisting in scheduling manufacturing, assuring quality of product. Other responsibilities will be to work with the manager to direct, coordinate, and/or delegate the local functions such as inside sales, warehouse, work on job sites, and administrative activities (customer service levels, inventory levels, profitability) of an individual branch to achieve branch and company goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Extensive working knowledge of CAD software to be able to prepare technical drawings efficiently

  • Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings Strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications

  • Interact regularly with manufacturing employees and customers.

  • Acquires, uses and continuously develops personal technical and professional knowledge of products and general managerial skills to assist customers and other company personnel.

  • Transmits administrative information, policies and procedures, decisions, changes, etc. to subordinates.

  • Time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) desired.

  • Must have excellent grammar skills.

Engineering degree or equivalent experience

5+ years of technical and sales experience

 

Compensation and Hours

Pay Comments: Salary based on experience and aptitude of candidate

Hours per week: 40-45
