Pridestaff is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic / Helper for an manufacturing company located in Ontario, CA. This is a long-term position with potential for hire. Please see job requirements below to be considered.

  •  Pay $18-$21 or depending on experience
  • Shift: 5am - 1:30pm, Monday - Friday  

SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Manager or Supervisor, incumbent performs a variety of preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance and light mechanic activities to ensure machines are lubricated and functioning properly.  May use lubricants, hand and power tools to accomplish work tasks.

Job Duties: 

  • Lubricates or applies other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
  • Cleans or lubricates vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
  • Installs, replaces or changes machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
  • Records production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
  • Work overtime and weekends, as needed.

Preferred QUALIFICATIONS
1.            Knowledge of:
           A.  Machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
           B.  Measurement tools, including tape measures and calipers
 
2.           Ability to:
           A.  Problem sensitivity - the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
           B.  Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
 
Minimum requirements: 

  • Must be willing to submit to a drug test and criminal background prior to start 
  • At least 6 months of related experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • Mechanically inclinded and knowledge of hand/power tools
