Middle Country Animal Hospital is a warm, friendly, contemporary veterinary clinic located on Middle Country Road in Selden, NY, serving many surrounding Suffolk communities. Our 2 doctor practice has been providing high-quality medical and surgical services in a cheerful, caring, and compassionate setting for over 25 years.

We are looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team A dream candidate will be a team player with exceptional client service and communication skills, attention to detail with a positive and compassionate attitude.

Job Responsibilities:

· Assist Veterinarians during exams and surgeries

· Prep patients for exams and procedures, including but not limited to venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and obtaining radiographs

· Obtain laboratory sample collection, process, and possibly interpret results (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears)

· Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable)

· Prep and assist in surgery and perform dental cleanings

· Ability to effectively communicate and educate clients

· Maintain patient medical records

Qualifications:

· State of New York Veterinary Technician License required

· Motivated to maintain our standards of excellent client services and high- quality patient care

· Team player with exceptional client service and communication skills, attention to detail with a positive and compassionate attitude

· At least 1-year of veterinary experience preferred

· Veterinary software experience is a plus but we will train the right candidate

Hours will include weekdays, some evenings, and weekends. Scheduled to fill our business needs.
