Job Description:

TFG STAFFING  is seeking two Board Certified Urology Surgeons to provide high-quality surgical services at the VA Health Care System in Columbia, SC. The selected physicians will perform a full range of urology surgery services, including clinical coverage, consultations, evaluations, assessments, treatments, and both minor and major surgical procedures. On-call coverage and call-backs are required in addition to the standard 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert urology surgery services in a state-of-the-art medical facility.
  • Conduct evaluations, consultations, and assessments, followed by appropriate treatment plans.
  • Perform minor and major surgical procedures as required.
  • Provide on-call coverage and be available for call-backs outside of regular clinic hours.
  • Collaborate with administrative personnel to manage and monitor consultation requests.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of patient consults and progress notes in accordance with VA standards.
  • Maintain the highest standards of care, meeting or exceeding recognized national benchmarks.

Qualifications:

  • License: Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Board Certification: Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Urology Surgeons and hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Hours of Operation:

  • Regular clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Operating days are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Physicians must report at least 20 minutes prior to the start of each shift.
  • On-call coverage is required 24/7, including federal holidays, with the expectation to remain within a 30-minute travel radius of the Columbia VA Health Care System when on-call.

Standards of Care:

Physicians are expected to adhere to the highest standards of care, meeting or exceeding recognized national benchmarks, including those set by the American Association for Urologists.
