Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant

Upstate South Carolina, has an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team that specializes in Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Apnea, and Critical Care in an office setting in one of our Multi-locations. Our region has experienced large growth due to the mild weather, reasonable living costs, and southern-friendly hospitality.
Our Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
Will assist in evaluating and treating complex medical patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting.
Obtain histories, conduct physical examinations, chart progress notes, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Order and interpret laboratory studies, and diagnostic procedures including Chest X-rays, Chest CTs, and Pulmonary Function Tests.
Plan and provide care for patients in consultation with and under the direct supervision of the attending physician.
Communicate with the patient or family the necessity, nature, and results of scheduled diagnostics and therapeutic procedures.
Provide one weekend per month call coverage with a physician.
Conducts research activities such as recruiting, reporting, and publishing findings.
Experience: Full-Time 1-2 years of pulmonary experience; willing to train the right candidate.
We will provide health, dental, vision, and Life Insurance benefits after 90-day introductory period, paid holidays, and 401k after 1 year. A background and drug screening may be required. Credentialing, continuing education, and 4 weeks time off per year.
Service Excellence: This role will maintain effective communications with patients, staff, and physicians; provides patient care in a competent, professional, and courteous matter; keeps abreast of current research and incorporates relevant findings into a specific area of clinical practice.
