Position Description:

In this role, you will develop, lead, document, and direct the clinical care carried out by professional and paraprofessional nursing personnel in compliance with applicable nursing standards of care and practice. This involves assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients' medical, and psychiatry needs with a focus on providing the highest patient-focused quality care possible.

You will be the liaison between our patients and their families to educate them in regard to the treatment plan. Our new team member should be a great communicator, developing long-term therapeutic relationships with our patients.

  • Oversee the processes of staffing nursing care on wards ensuring that the policies of the hospital and CBAs are followed.
  • Audits aspects of care delivery to ensure Nursing Standards and CMS conditions of participation are met.
  • Attends treatment planning and Multidisciplinary Evaluation and Treatment (MET) articulating the nursing needs for the patient.
  • Utilize data and prepare reports to help staff and administration understand staffing dynamics and find solutions.

What we're looking for:

  • Professionals with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred or equivalent education/experience.
  • Psychiatric nursing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lead employees in a positive direction.
  • Preferred ANCC certification in Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing.
  • Operation of office equipment including telephone, copy and fax machine, computer, and various computer programs.
  • Must be able to communicate and comprehend oral and written forms of communication with management, peers, clients, and the public.
