Job description

We are in need of general floaters to assist daily and provide break coverage as needed. General Floaters can work in any position, and with any age group of children.  They will mainly work with classroom teachers to provide the necessary instructional and social education that is needed for our children to succeed.  Differential bonus for evening and weekend hours. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare classroom equipment and instructional materials for lessons.
  • Perform recordkeeping duties associated with the classroom including attendance and grade calculation.
  • Instruct students in proper classroom procedures and behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents on a regular basis regarding student progress.
  • Assisting students with assignments
  • Ensure the wellbeing and safety of children at all times.
  • Implementing the teachers lesson plans
  • Adapt instructional materials as necessary to meet special education guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, preferably with a focus on early childhood development.
  • Experience working with young children
  • Ability to communicate with young children at their level.
  • Patient, compassionate attitude, with a friendly, energetic disposition.
  • Good mediation and nurturing abilities.
  • Creative mindset with an ability to create memorable, out-of-the-box lessons.
  • Passion for shaping and inspiring young minds.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model.

Salary: $13/hr

 

Company DescriptionCandyLand Childcare is a family orientated child care center located in West Akron. We have both full and part time positions available. After a successful 90 day probation period, we offer PTO, discounted childcare, and all major holidays off with pay.
