Accountability:

The Educational Coordinator is hired by and reports directly to the Executive Director who is responsible for his/her performance evaluations.

Responsibilities:

· Work with the Executive Director to prepare, establish, revise, and facilitate the CASA Training Curriculum

· Assist in the recruiting and interviewing of new volunteers

· Perform duties in connection with the training of potential volunteers, including preparing training manuals and scheduling trainings

· Assist all potential volunteers with the background check process, including fingerprinting and references

· Attend and disseminate bi-monthly trainings hosted by IL CASA and share updates with the Executive Director, other CASA staff, and advocates

· Assemble and maintain CASA advocate files, including policies and procedures, background check information, and references

· Review new cases and assign volunteers in consultation with the Executive Director. Prepare and distribute assignment documentation as requested

· Enter all necessary volunteer and educational/training information into the appropriate database.

· Coordinate available in-service training hours and distribute information to advocates

· Assist child assigned to CASA with existing educational needs, including specialized educational meetings

· Plan and facilitate in-service trainings in consultation with the Executive Director

· Act as CASA advocate to assigned cases as requested

· Supervise advocates as requested

· Represent CASA program in court proceedings as requested

· Provide assistance with CASA programs and events as requested

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or President of the Board.

Benefits:

· Starting pay range: $40,000 to $45,000 per year based on education & experience

· Stipend to help cover cost of medical insurance obtained by employee

· Stipend to put toward personal cell phone bill (as it will be used for work purposes as needed)
