Auto Maintenance Technicians with A National Transit will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles in our Paratransit fleet.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturing and company policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair major components, including, but not limited to, engine, transmissions, and differentials.
  • Inspect fleet; identify and report potentially dangerous equipment to management.
  • Respond to road calls and complete on the road repairs as assigned.
  • Document and record all repair and maintenance actions on work orders.
  • Work with management to order appropriate levels of parts and supplies for vehicles
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed in the shop.
  • Keeps a safe, clean, productive, and efficient work area.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must participate in Ford Stars Training program.
  • ASE, HVAC or Electrical certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of general mechanic experience is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of transportation industry experience, preferred.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Positive attitude. Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license
  • Pass a DOT physical and drug test
  •  Pass a background check 


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Speaks and understands English
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have 3 years of continuous and verifiable post high school employment or a combined 3 years of verifiable full or part-time student status
  • Possess a strong DMV record: Licensed for at least 3 years, active GA driver's license, no more than 2 moving violations in the last three years.
