Aegis Worldwide is currently seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for a leading industrial equipment manufacturer in Lyons, IL. This person will play a vital role within projects through developing PLC logic, advanced motion, programming PLC / HMI from scratch.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related degree in engineering is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in a Control Engineer, Automation Engineer, Instrumentation Engineering or Electrical Engineering role
  • Ability to program PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs from scratch.
  • Experience working at an OEM, Machine Builder, or Capital Equipment Projects.
  • Experience using AutoCAD Electrical is a PLUS
    • Designing electrical schematics and control panel layouts is a PLUS.

Responsibilities:

  • Majority of the time will be spent developing PLC logic, Advanced Motion, and HMI Programs from scratch.
  • On the project team, balancing multiple projects at a time.
  • Working cross-functionally with engineers, project managers, and production staff.
  • Using AutoCAD electrical for designing electrical schematics.
