Job DescriptionJob Description

We are a mobile ultrasound company looking for a compassionate and skilled vascular technologist to be responsible for operating sonographic scanners, while capturing images of the vascular system. Ideally, the ultrasound technologist will have knowledge in peripheral arterial and venous anatomy, carotid anatomy, and superficial venous anatomy. You may also assist physicians with vascular procedures with ultrasound guidance.

To be a successful ultrasound technician, you should be able to demonstrate excellent patient care and technical skills, as well as a strong working knowledge of anatomy and pathology. You should have strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills.

Ultrasound Technician Responsibilities:

  • Explaination of the ultrasound procedure to patients, answering their questions, and providing support.
  • Performace and adjustment of the ultrasound machine for a specific procedure, and ensuring the transducer captures images from the correct angle or section as needed.
  • Proper capture of still images, or sonograms, to capture and present to the Physician for diagnostic purposes. Preliminary report generation for Physician review.
  • Evaluate ultrasound images for quality and interpreting the images to assist the Physicians in diagnosing and treating diseases.
  • Present images and your preliminary findings to the Physicians.
  • Proper maintenance of patients' records and medical notes on the ultrasound procedure they have undergone.
  • Maintenance of ultrasound equipment and sterilizing the procedure rooms.
  • Assistance with vascular ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guidance for the Physician.

Ultrasound Technician Requirements:

  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in sonography.
  • Certification in RVT, RVS or RPhS. Vascular experience 1 year preferred.
  • The ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work with limited supervision.
  • We are a mobile company, must be able and willing to travel locally.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as sensitivity to patients' problems.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

License/Certification:

  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist- RVT (Preferred)
  • CCI- RVS or CCI (Preferred)

 

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift Weeday (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (Preferred)

Work Location: Out patient clinical
